Welcome to my happy place

I was trained in design, but illustration and painting came more naturally to me from the beginning, and I would love to get back into sculpting. I found there was a definite correlation between the skills I used in sketching on paper and the ones I used in finding shapes in the clay. I love to draw from things I’m looking at around me. My dog and items around my home frequently appear in my work. I spent a lot of time growing up in Western NC, so the mountains and the natural world have also been an area of focus.

Take a closer look…

  • Illustrations

My sketchbook is filled with an exploration in charcoal, graphite, pen & ink, prismacolors and a variety of other mediums.

  • Paintings

I started with oils and acrylic paints, especially for projects like murals. Now, I enjoy watercolor painting the most as a personal pastime.

These are some additional side projects I’m working on that involve applying my art in contexts beyond the joy of making it.
