Art:

hobby or side gig?

I didn’t start out intending to sell my work. I loved being able to create special gifts for family and friends for special events, birthdays and holidays, but it’s become much more than a way to connect with people. It is primarily a way to find myself and step away from the daily duties of work, motherhood and life in general.

I create my art because it brings me joy to study the fine details and shapes in the world around me. It’s also fun to share an original piece with someone and an entirely different venture to watch who might like which image on social media enough to want a copy for their own or as a gift.

I don’t do as many custom requests as I used to, but maybe someday I can retire and just paint pictures of people’s pets. That’s the dream, anyway!
